Is That Josh and Mini James?!

This is a very nice video made by some members of the French Libera forum. It shows them traveling to England for the Arundel concert and to St. Philip's in Norbury for Sunday church. At the 6:00 mark it looks like Josh and Mini James walking out of the church! So cool that they got to go to a concert AND see them sing in a real church service!

This may be the last time Josh was filmed as a member of Libera. Some fan pages are saying that Josh won't be coming for the U.S. tour.  Bummer.  Is he out of Libera? Or will the Philippines get to see him again in October? So NOT fair. I still hope I can go see whoever comes for the U.S. tour. But still.....   :(

USA Tour!!!!!!!!!!!!

Libera posted this to their website and Facebook page:

Summer Tour in USA

We are pleased to announce that we plan to visit the USA this Summer. We expect to perform concerts in Dallas, St Louis, Nashville, Atlanta and elsewhere in the south and midwest.

The dates for the tour are 27th July to 13th August. More information will be coming soon, including venues, exact dates and times, as well as a couple more cities.

We are very excited at the prospect of sharing our music with long standing and more recent supporters in the US, and we look forward to making new friends too.

I'm so excited I can't even type right!!!! I hope that they'll have tickets available soon! It sounds like they're planning on touring ALL OVER the country! They're going EVERYWHERE! I hope lots of people hear about it and go to their concerts! I know I will!  :)

LIBERA IN THE US THIS SUMMER!!!!

Aled Jones has a BBC radio show on Sunday mornings from 6am-9am London time. You can listen to it here:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wqvh. It's around the 1:24:00 mark. On today's show he had this to say:

"Robert Prizeman...has been in touch to say they ended up going across Greece from Athens by coach, then by ferry to Venice, and then 24 hours on a coach across to Calais. and the whole trip took 5 days instead of 2 hours. Who said the life of a chorister could be uneventful?

The volcano has not dampened their enthusiasm, rather heated it. They're off to the U.S. in the summer. Good on 'em."

Yea!!!! They're coming to the US! Wonder where the concerts will be? Hope we can go see them! Yea!!!!!!!!!!

Liam O'Kane

Well, while we're celebrating the accomplishments of past Libera members who are going on to have their own careers, I thought I'd post this newer video I found of Liam O'Kane.

I didn't know a lot about Liam except to see him on old Libera videos. One website says he was born May of 1984 (10 years before me!) and sang in Libera from 1992 through at least 1999. He had a fabulous voice when he was little. He has continued his singing career with a ska band, Jimmy the Squirrel, and a new solo album out called "Happy Days Sad Songs." That is also the name of this single.

In a BBC interview he explains that he is a really happy person (me, too!), but a lot of music on the radio is sad. So he made a happy song with sad words. I love this! And I love happy people! Great song, great voice!

Liam also has a MySpace page at www.myspace.com/liamokanemusic.

Tom Cully Update

Oh my word! Tom Cully's MySpace page has like 80,000 hits! I've been on vacation but still checked it a few times. He wrote that he's taking down "Cashmere" for a couple of days so that he can put up a newer version that you can "BUY" !!!!!!  :)

Supporting him DOES enable him to make more music. His guitar broke, so this will help him get money to fix it. I know I'll be buying "Cashmere" as soon as I get my laptop fixed. It decided to crash. Ugh! Guess it's having sympathy pains for Tom's guitar. Anyway, go to www.myspace.com/tomcully and support him in any way you can.
