Libera Tour Is Almost Here!

Hi! This is Lexi's mom, Lauren. I am very excited to be going to the 7 Libera concerts in Asia. I leave in just 13 hours! Lexi is sad that she cannot go. She is still at university and cannot miss classes. I will try to write updates as I am able. :)

The Taiwan concert tickets are selling very well. All 5 concerts have sold out of NT$500 and NT$800 tickets except there is 1 lonely NT$800 ticket left for Taichung concert.

Artemis Art has been doing a great job promoting Libera's first Taiwan tour.

They have fliers placed in the Eslite bookstores

and huge posters at the Eslite bookstores. I know a few people who would love to put one of those on their wall at home. :)

Taiwan's FM98.9 radio station is playing Libera songs, and there have been many magazine and newspaper ads and articles. There is great excitement for Libera's world-premiere performance of "The Moon Represents My Heart."

Seoul Arts is doing a great job of advertising Libera's 2 Korea concerts. Those are selling well also. The Bundang concert at St. John's Cathedral has sold over 1,000 seats so far!

The Seoul Sejong Center seats 3,000. It is 70% sold. There are only 8 seats left in the 99,000 won R Section, 467 in the 77,000 won S Section, 322 left in the 55,000 won A Section, and 100 left in the 33,000 won B Section.

Enyu shared a picture of Korea concert fliers that she is helping to pass out.

Taiwan Autograph Sessions

Libera's first Taiwan concert is less than 4 days away! And we now know that there WILL be autograph signing sessions after the concerts! Awesome! :D

We already know that 26 boys will be on the tour. Artemis Art has revealed that there will be a poster with the 26 boys' pictures on it that will sell for 100 yuan. 5-6 boys will sign autographs at each concert, so if you go to all 5 Taiwan concerts, you'll get all 26 signatures. Gotta say I'm used to getting all the boys' signatures at 1 concert, but I think they've done this in Japan and Korea before because the crowds were so huge that the boys would've be there all night signing. Can't wait to find out which 26 boys will be there!

They will also be handing out balloons to some of the fans at the concert!

Thank you to Artemis Art for the info and photos.

Taiwan Greetings Video

Libera has a new video out featuring Ben and Cassius! They send greetings to the Taiwan fans first in English and then in Chinese. According to some Chinese-speaking fans, their Chinese is very good! At one point, Ben looks like he doesn't even have to read the script, but can just effortlessly speak it. It is so nice of them to make the effort to learn Chinese! Great job!

Thank you to Artemis Art for posting this video!

Libera in MUZIK Magazine + A Surprise

Libera is on the cover of MUZIK magazine in Taiwan! On March 9 I ordered it, and received it only 3 days later! Amazingly fast! Thank you, Taiwan! :) Fan de Lok has a great tutorial here on how to buy this magazine from the Chinese web site.

Libera is also pictured on the Contents Page and listed as the Cover Story. It's funny to see them next to the Michael Jackson show. Quite a contrast. :)

There's a 4-page article about them. It's mostly in Chinese, so I can't understand it. It looks like it is written in an interview format. Wish I knew what it says! It also shows Libera's web site and lists their concert schedule.

The magazine has a Spotlight Concerts section where all 5 Taiwan concerts are listed.

There's a surprise on page 59 - a full page ad for the "Ave Maria" double CD titled "Asia Tour Exclusive Version." The release date is March 15, but some selling sites say March 20. It appears to be the same double CD that was released in Japan in November 2012. The cover is a combination of pictures from 2011's The Christmas Album and the 2007 New Dawn album. The song list looks like it's the same as Japan. It's very exciting for Taiwan, though! :)

Song list:

1.   Air on the G String
2.   Ave Maria
3.   Silent Night

15. La Khalifa (Libera - chorus version)

Disc #2 - same as "Song of Life - A Collection" album

New Libera Album Coming!

It's a happy day in Libera Land!!!!

Libera wrote a special greeting to the Korean fans. It almost sounds like what they would print in the concert programs. In the message they reveal some of the songs they will be singing in the concerts - "Sanctus," "Libera," "Salva Me," "Song of Life" and "Eternal Light." The Korea concert poster also lists "Time," "Far Away," "Love and Mercy" and "Stay With Me" as being in the program.

But then they say, "You will also hear some new music, which is only just about to appear on an album."

We know of at least one new song, the Chinese song "The Moon Represents My Heart." And it will be on a new album!!!!!! Maybe this explains the new photo shoot also. Cute pictures for inside the CD! Can't wait!!!! :D

Here's the full message from Libera to Korean fans. Thank you to Enyu for the translation. :)

Welcome to our Libera Concert!

We are so glad to be back in South Korea once again. Many years ago our very first international tour brought us here, to Seoul, and we have never forgotten the fantastic welcome we received. Indeed the enthusiasm and support was so encouraging that it gave us the confidence to travel more and more, and to take our music across the world.

Although we are now quite accustomed to touring, there is always a great sense of excitement and anticipation as we begin a new season. Because Libera is a boys choir, the members gradually change as the years go on, so there are always new boys on stage, and new singers inheriting the solos and harmony parts from the older boys. New young 'mini-boys' as we call them, come away from home for the first time - some of them travel on a plane for the first time. So nothing in a boyschoir stays the same for long.

As if to underline this, on this tour we have playing keyboards and working back stage many of the boys who once used to stand up front in their white robes.

We are singing many often popular Libera songs including some of our very first compositions, like 'Sanctus', 'Libera' and 'Salva Me', alongside more recent pieces like 'Song of Life' and 'Eternal Light'. You will also hear some new music, which is only just about to appear on an album.

Music truly is an international language - it respects no boundaries, and may break free of its roots in one country and be welcomed in others. We are truly honoured that our Libera music and the Libera singers are able to cross the world, and we thank you for your help and support in making that possible.

저 희는 이번에 'Sanctus', 'Libera', 'Salva Me'와 같이 오랫동안 사랑 받아온 리베라의 곡들은 물론 'Song of Life'와 'Eternal Light'과 같이 최신 곡들도 선보일 예정입니다.

Libera Promo Video in Chinese With a Surprise!

Artemis Art posted a promo video for Libera's Spring Tour, but this one is in Chinese!

According to Jean and Yuni, the Chinese writing says that Libera will be singing a Chinese song in their concerts called 月亮代表我的心 or "The Moon Represents My Heart." How awesome is that?! Can't wait to hear it!

Yuni shared a video for us to hear the song ahead of time.

Thank you, Yuni and Jean!
